NRDS bridge for data synchronization

With the NRDS bridge for data synchronization, National Association of REALTORS® clients can better manage the information shared between iMIS and NRDS through an automatic synchronization of changes made in either database. This process runs in the background as a scheduled task. You also have the option to manually synchronize specific records at any time.

How it works

iMIS polls NRDS on a regular basis to see if there have been any data changes. If a change is found, it is placed in a queue for processing. The queue is processed every time the NRDS scheduled task is run, according to the frequency and batch size you define. This same process also looks for changes in iMIS and sends that information back to NRDS. If three timeout errors occur in a row during this exchange, the process stops, but all remaining records stay in the queue. These are processed the next time the scheduled task is run. If any other problems occur during this transfer, the item is removed from the queue and an error message is added to the NRDS log. By default, NRDS changes are brought into iMIS first, before iMIS changes are pushed to NRDS.

In addition to the automatic updates, you also have the option to synchronize data for a specific member or office on-demand using the NRDS Sync Buttons and NRDS Sync By ID iParts. These iParts are helpful when you need to synchronize data immediately, instead of waiting for your scheduled task to run.
